TMI

Social networks such as Facebook aand My Space are popular ways for people to stay in touch with each other.  They allow people to stay connected to former classmates and coworkers and friends and family who live far away.  It is nice to log on to Facebook and read the news feed and find out that someone has big news to share: an upcoming wedding, photos from a family vacation, or a big promotion.  However, I find it annoying when people post that they are doing laundry, grocery shopping, or just changed the baby's diaper and found a sizeable load waiting to be attended to.  Was that a little too much information for you?  People need set up filters for what they should post and what constitutes TMI.  "Baby's first word" is definitely post-worthy material.  "Baby just woke up" should be kept to yourself.
